Pets At Home

A very good store which I always buy my dog food for Ruby from this store. It;s in a convenient place and I think there should be more stores like this in the area.

Pets At Home is part of a large chain of nationwide pet stores aimed at the average customer.
Although they have stocked more unusual pets in the past such as hermit crabs, nowadays they only stock your bog standard mice, rabits, guinea pigs and fish.
They stock a large selection of cat, dog and small animal pet food as well as accessories such as collars, leads, cages, tanks and treats.
If you are a herpologist (ie: you prefer your pets more slithery) then you are out of luck, but for most people they should be able to find what they are looking for at their local pets at home.
The animals look quite well looked after, although some of the water bottles the rabbits were using were green with algea, but otherwise they were well kept.

This is down the bottom and far out of town in forster square but well worth going down to visit as they do some good bulk buys on pet food and lots of choice on toys, bedding, homes, medications, etc for any pet you can think of. They also have lots of pets to buy from budgies to mice to rabbits. They have a noticeboard for lost and found pets and to advertise pets for sale, etc. The store is huge and well stocked. The staff are nice and helpful.

They have great special offers on e.g. 25% off Hills Science Plan cat/​dog food. The staff are really helpful and between them have a good range of knowledge about a wide variety of animals. Good selection of fish and small animals for sale (or just to look at and go awh!)

This is a very good petshop and very large and spacious inside. They sell everything you could think of for all kinds of pets from cats to birds to dogs to mice. They sell food, bedding, litter, housing, etc for any pet you can imagine. I love the selection of cat toys they have and so does my cat. The prices can be a bit steep but there are a few bargains to be had too and they do a few special offers too. They also have lots of pets inside the store for you to look at and buy — they have a rabbit hutch full of rabbits, aviary full of birds and cages of mice, etc. They all look well looked after and cared for by the staff who are very knowledgable and will gladly advise you on what to buy. The staff are very polite. They also have photographers in store now and then and let you take your pets in to enter the photo competitions.

I often visit here as something to do with my daughter. I know it seems lame but she likes to go and visit all the animals that they have on offer.
The shop is well kept and clean and the staff are really helpfull.

This is a huge store with everything you could possible need for your pets all in one store.
They do healthcare/​toiletries/​food/​bedding and accessories for cats/​dogs/​hamsters/​gerbils/​rabbits and fish and any other pet you can think of.
They also sell pets there, which are kept in appropriate cages, tanks, etc for you to view before you buy.
The prices arent as cheap as supermarkets or bargain shops but the quality is the best and you get what you pay for.
The staff are very friendly and polite and are always on hand to offer advice to you.
The store is very clean and tidy and kept well stocked at all times.

We bought 2 goldfish here for £5 — admittedly they died a week later, but I think that was probably more our fault than theirs. Also because they died within a week, we got 2 free replacements! The man/​boy in the shop knew everything there was to know about fish, and kept them himself, very helpful and patient with the children who were very particular about which fish they wanted.
