I’m really torn with my star rating here, but I’ve settled on a 3. As Harvester’s go it’s pretty good, but at the end of the day it’s still only a Harvester… I’m guessing that unless you are an overseas tourist you probably know the drill, and if you are an overseas tourist then what on earth are you doing in Bracknell contemplating going to a Harvester?! They offer the same menu as every other Harvester ever with the standard sweetener of unlimited salad cart visits to entice you in. The food is OK, but just OK. Having said that it’s consistently OK, so although not particularly exciting it’s unlikely to go horribly wrong. The venue is good, low ceilinged bar area with exposed beams give it a nice feel. As you venture to the back in the dining area it opens up and loses this charm but it’s nice if you sit up front. You can order food regardless of where you sit. Big car park, from the roundabout take the exit onto Lime Walk(immediately before the Bagshot Road dual carriageway exit) and follow it to the bottom for the hidden entry/exit point.

We stopped here for a lunch break a few times while I was in our UK offices. The food was not 5 star quality but it definitely was better than a «Grab n Go» lunch deal which can be bought anywhere including gas stations. They consist of a sandwich, chips and a drink. Now a hot freshly cooked meal beats that any day. I really enjoyed their chicken burger and the chick pea burger. Both had wonderful flavor. Some of those that I brought with me for lunch had ribs, hamburgers, roast chicken and they all looked delicious. Cost? Fairly inexpensive for the quantity and free all you can eat salad bar! Give them a try the next time you see one.

This is a continuation of jarring my memory cells about the great neighbourhood pubs around Bracknell. As I recall, it was a slow day for us, so dinners had to be first. Good luck if you’re a Vigan. Oh yea, try a sweet malt like Speckled Hen.

This pub is a Harvester, it is on a busy dual carriageway and it is quite hard to find how to get into the carpark. There is quite a lot of parking. The food is usually good with the usual salad bar which is fresh and replenished quite often, the rolls are lovely and if you time it when they are put out they are warm. The service is quite quick and the staff I have seen are friendly. They need to do something with the outside area as there is a small side bit with two tables and round the back is a grassed area which they could cut the grass and put some nice tables and it would be great in the summer. The bottom part of the restaurant seems a bit dingy.

It is obviously part of the chain, and service could be quicker but the food has improved. Salads are good, there is something to be said for choosing exactly what you like. Good value too.

Harvesters are generally a nice place to eat and socialise. This is no different, salad bar is sometimes not full but the staff are more than happy to top up if asked. The staff usually look a bit flustered as its usually busy in there but are always polite and work hard for their tips. I like it
