I’ve been here a few times. Its clean & well managed The whole centre has a buzz about it.
I swim often, and don’t find the pool lanes overcrowded. However, with a lane-​ed system it is inevitable that you will have someone faster behind you or someone slower in front (not necessarily a SLOW swimmer though) so its never quite a swim in which you can switch off.
I don’t like the hard plastic floats on the ropes that denote the lanes, I regularly seem to be banging myself on them keeping out of peoples way!
The Leisure centre is not centrally located, encouraging most people use their car to take some exercise.

Yes, the Littledown has a nice big pool but if your looking to do any serious swimming training then forget it. The lanes (though always available) are really poorly managed, often far too busy and you’ll have to endure slow swimmer’s in fast lanes etc. The life guards and management often can’t cope with the volume of people in the pool either so it can be a frustrating experience if you just want to swim lengths. I and many of my friends now train at another venue because of this.

There is always ample free parking here and it is convienently located near royal bournemouth hospital and the large Tesco.
I can particularly recommend the spa, it is a very relaxing place to chill out with friends and makes a welcome difference from meeting for a chat in the pub.
There is a couple of whirlpools, sauna, couple of steam rooms and a wonderful place which is like a sauna but a little cooler so you can stay in there far longer.

I love coming here. It’s well run, clean and friendly. The pool is massive if you’re a serious swimmer, the gym is extensive and the main hall is perfect for circuits, badminton and a variety of many other sports. Value for money is good and there is loads of car parking. They have a new bar and coffee lounge, which is very relaxing for a beer or a coffee and a read of the newspaper whilst waiting for family members and well-​worth a visit

The Littledown centre is centrally located near the hospiatl in Bournemouth. There is plenty of free parking attached to the centre.
There is a wide range of activities available to use within the centre including swimming and parties etc. We often visit for the swimming and find the facilities to be good. The pools are heated well and you have free use of the water slides at certain times.
The prices for swimming are higher than other areas but the atmosphere and staff aid the high price by making us feel welcome.
The changing rooms could be a bit cleaner at busy times but we always let the staff know when they need a touch up.
