Durley Inn Harvester

I went to this Harvester with my girlfriend tonight for a meal, which was delicious, served promptly, and all the restaurant staff were very friendly and would go out of there way to help us.
However, when we decided to stay for a couple of drinks after our meal, the service fell somewhat short of what we received in the restaurant area. Considering the bar and restaurant area was not exceptionally busy, and that I was the only customer looking to be served at the bar, it took an awfully long time for someone to come and serve.
Finally when someone did turn up (Dawn) there was no apology for the wait, and she was completely rude and incapable of remembering my order, which consisted of 2 drinks.
The restaurant toilets are also somewhat undesirable.
It is a shame because taking the bar service and the state of the facilities away, this restaurant is in a fantastic location, with a lovely new menu.
Undecided whether or not I will return again.

Great Location right on the sea front.
I went for a drink there yesterday (didn’t eat). The pub is a bit rundown and grubby these days and could do with at least a lick of paint.
The bar was understaffed with the queue going back out the doors of the pub as only 2 to 3 staff where serving however there appeared to be a lot more staff in the food area not doing much.
All drinks including wine served in plastic beakers to prevent us (neanderthal customers) glassing each other.

Food was lovely, especially the Nachos.
An oppotunity to have seaview table if it’s not too busy.
However… the ladies were disgusting, flies were found on the toilet seat, the brush was an open type which looked like it hadn’t been washed for weeks. If you can hold it use the toilets at the beach!!!

This is a great place right down by the beach at Durley Chine and so it can get busy in the summer. It is a traditional Harvester restaurant with the salad cart and a good reasonably priced menu catering for all the family. Make sure you keep some room for the dessert — they are huge! it can get really busy in the summer so worth getting there when it opens for lunch to make sure you get a seat — especially if you wish to sit outside and watch the wiorld go by.

For location this is worthy of five stars, but for parking it has to lose a point, as the parking is also for anyone who wants to use the beach.
A brewers fayre, so the menu is a safe bet if somewhat predictable. But the ambience makes up for this. It is tasteful, and well spaced with beach and sea views. The lighting is good.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the ladies is always clean.
In summer is is packed with families, but you can get the quiet times, just forget being able to park! But as it’s at the bottom of a steep chine, that’s not so easy!
Best to come in Autumn and Winter.
