It is a typical Weatherspoons. It is cheap and does what it says on the tin.
You get a feeling in this one that you are at a local working mans club.
The patio area outside could do with a clean and the ashtrays being emptied.
The food arrived quickly and was freshly cooked and on warm plates.
It’s a bit soulless, as it is what it is, if you’re hungry and want something quick and cheap then this is your place to go.

A wet Saturday afternoon when u find yourself waiting for the Strictly Come Dancing audience taping. A warm pub is needed, it looks good from the outside and is typical in Weatherspoon décor inside with a few booths and open seating. Really busy and the bar staff very efficient considering how crowded it is, nearly all the tables are full with punters escaping the rain. I ordered the new Pasta alfredo with chicken, holy moly peeps do not order this dish, it is tres Terrible with a capital T! The so called cream nut free pesto, pecorino (hard Italian cheese) yes they describe the cheese for you incase your a heathen and don’t know, rocket and spinach sauce was almost inedible and I can eat most things. The sauce was thin and at a guess made from mixing a powder formula with water. This is the worst pasta dish I have ever had and has put me off Italian for a while. The five bean chill with rice was ok. In fairness I should have gone for some fried concoction as the dishes looked and smelled more appealing and the other diners looked happy with their meals. I have eaten in JD’a previously and the food is basic but good value for money. Please JD’s do yourself a favour and take the pasta alfredo off the menu it is appalling. xoxo

A large typical Weatherspoons of the old school variety, with a 2 sided L shaped bar at the front of the building, with tables and a few cubby-​hole areas & a darker seating area towards the back where the toilets are.
I’m not sure if there is, a back beer garden area, but there us a small fenced off area at the front, but you cant have your drink out there after 7.30– 8pm, due to it being a residential area so a bit of a pisser if unlike me, you are a smoker.
As expected with a Weatherspoons, the food & drink is cheap, also as usual with Weatherspoons, it is of a decent standard. The on tap larger’s, ales & Ciders are good, the pipes are obviously kept well clean. The staff are friendly & helpful and service normally swift.
It is ideally situated near Elstree Film studios, so handy for a quick drink before going in to watch the Big Brother Evictions, or before going into the studio’s to record Big Brothers Bit On The Side.
Some of the regular clientele look a bit rough & ready (Like in most Weatherspoons) but don’t let that put you off, they have always been nice to me & my friends, at worst some can be a bit pissed, but harmless.

Its a wetherspoons pub so they always have food+drink deals. The smoking area at the front of the pub, its got afew tables and chairs. Its a small but very friendly pub, the barstaff are always happy and polite

As Wetherspoons go this is small and decorwise it’s one of their standard conversions. The rear of the pub can feel rather gloomy during daylight hours. The smoking area is in front of the pub, almost but not quite on the pavement. They manage to keep up to three guest ales to compliment the regular three beers. Some people are put off by the regular clientele here, but they are harmless. The food is of course the standard menu and you know what to expect.
