I recently revisited this Marks and Spencer to see if it was maintaining the good standards of my previous visit, this store is a very big one, and is located in the Middlebrook Retail Park, near the Bolton Wanderers stadium in Horwich. My main experience here was looking in the food station, with sausages and sandwiches being the main course of my visit. With Marks and Spencer launching a new BLT sandwich, I did really want to come here and try it, although they are normally a little disappointed, so I was very disappointed that not only did they not have that sandwich in stock, but they had no gluten free sandwiches at all, in both the store and the café, although I do admit I did visit on a Sunday, this still leaves them no excuse for no gluten free sandwiches being stocked, but a perfectly good range of normal food. The range of sausages were also quiet pricey, and the rack looked very small and depleted, like they were due a delivery and overall was very disappointing. The staff didn’t seem to stand out, and they seemed a little angry that I disturbed them, when I did ask where the sandwiches were. They is a decent range of clothing here, but food-wise it is relatively poor, both range and pricing, especially for a store of its’ size. I leave 2 stars as it is a big store, and part of my experience could be down to the time I have visited, but still they should aim for a high standard, with good stock ALL of the time!

It looks so much bigger outside! They’ve selected the best of the clothes to draw you in right at the front. Beware! Marks and Spencers clothing has gone way up in price — it does look good and it is well made but they seem to have moved away from their previous image — I guess to compete with other retailers? It was never cheap but it’s much more noticeable now. One thing I loved about this Marks and Spencers was the café. It had a gluten free choice in the sandwich range! Get in! I went to order and the cashier stated«You do know that’s gluten-free bread don’t you?» to which I replied«Yes, that’s why I’ve chosen it» with a big smile on my face. She seemed a little shocked! Free parking outside. Café inside. Clothes, furniture and food in store. You could have a day out! Well located and Middlebrook is definitely somewhere to head to for a day of shopping. Nothing stood out as «Wow» but it was well presented, clean, with plenty of products and variety.

I like the food section just wish it was easier to get in and out past the window shoppers looking at clothes on the narrow entrance and exits!

Great place to grab a bite for lunch(if not a bit pricey for just a sandwich). The only downside is the food area is usually pretty busy with queues so you cant just nip in and out to be honest. They never seem to have any clothes for the younger end of the market in this store, I would rather go online to choose something but great for your Mum!

A large M&S on the popular Middlebrook Retail Park close to the Reebok Stadium. The first plus-point is that there’s plenty of free parking nearby; but the first gripe would be that at peak times it gets very busy and access to and egress from Middlebrook can be very slow. The second plus-point is that it’s quite a big M&S branch; most of the things you would expect are there, and the range of stock on display isn’t too bad. But the second gripe, and the reason why I can only give what is otherwise an excellent store 4 stars, is the customer service. We were kept waiting for quite a while when we were looking for someone to advise us about furniture to buy, and when you’ve got two kids with you(aged 5 and 4) that can get a little frustrating. It might be better at quieter periods overall, though, not a bad store.

Marks and Spencer is situated on the Middlebrook development in Horwich, Bolton. There is a large free carpark and a bus service operates to Middlebrook. The outside of Marks and Spencer is large, modern, bright and attractive. The window displays are good and up to date. Inside the store is large, spacious, bright, clean and ailses are roomy. This is a big store and has lots of products on display including fashion, womens wear, childrens wear, underwear, fragrances, make up, jewellery, nightwear, shoes, homeware. The store is large enough to accomodate a sale without becoming too cramped and sales are worth a visit. Also the store has a food section, lunchtime section and a café and seated area. There are centrally located checkouts for clothes and homeware etc and checkouts for food. All are normally well staffed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is nice. This is one of my favourite Marks and Spencer stores, it is large and has free parking right outside ther doors. a big advantage for me. I would highly recommend this store. The store is within easy access of the other stores which include Boots, Next, Currys, Birthdays, O2, Clarks, Hmv, JD Sports and Tog more more more.
