It’s a good little Costa, but not as good as some of the others I’ve tried. Despite the fact that there appears to be a decent amount of seating both inside and out, it can still get very busy on weekends and we rarely manage to get a seat so we end up going else where. Coffee’s still good though… And one time we were there, we had a perfect view of someone squirting washing-up liquid into one of Bolton Town Halls fountains. The soapsuds would not stop growing.

Gave it a 5 star, It’s a Costa no better, no worse than any other. Some comfortable seating inside, so comfortable I didnt want to get up. Tried to take a photo of the square outside through the window and ended up with a photo of me and camera in the window. Oh well could be worse, umm thinking about it no it couldnt.

It’s costa, it’s another chain coffee shop, you know what you’re going to get: Friendly service Decent tasting food Fresh, well-made drinks Comfortable seating Overinflated prices! There are cheaper places that offer the same product. Does costa have any particular edge? Not really; hence only 3 stars — I’m prepared to pay more for extra quality but I generally wouldn’t use costa through choice just because of the cost!

Look don’t judge me ok!!! Yes… I know I have hated this place for a while with a passion and have all but slated it heavily in the past. I have discovered however that I am not a hater at all, I am a lover. I barely hold grudges and make friends and peace with myself and others really easily. It thus should come as no surprise that on one of my quick nip and outs through Bolton I stopped by here to take on board a well deserved beverage or two in the company of a good friend of mine. Yes it is an uninspiring place, but in good company I all but forgot I was in the place. One thing it is good for is a landmark and a meeting point with your friends, you just can’t miss that big red sign can you?

Out of all Costas in Greater Manchester this has to be my favourite, although I’ve only discovered it recently. The café is conveniently located right opposite Bolton’s impressive town hall, and you can drink your espresso either in the street or inside, gazing at the fountain by the town hall’s staircase. The main reason I am reacting so ecstatically to this Costa is their staff and the swiftness of service. The baristas are attentive, polite and smily, and even when the café is busy — as it happens with any café between 1 and 2pm — you don’t have to wait for ages for your coffee. The interior design and ambience contribute to the effortless style and relaxed atmosphere. And did I mention that their latte was the most delicious and smooth latte I’ve had in a long time?

I really do find Costa coffee houses to be just about the most uninspired, dull places nowadays. I don’t like coffee, which immediately makes Costa an overpriced sandwich shop to me. The only thing that this Costa has going for it is that it has some outdoor sitting looking over the aceness that is Victoria Square. Apart from that, everything about Costa just makes me bored.
