Ate here for dinner recently, having moved to the area about a year ago. Not been in before as to be honest, the adjacent take-away puts me off as it looks a bit dingy and unwelcoming. Decided to give the restaurant a go and was really pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the young girl who served us — she apologised for not being on top form that evening but was really very nice! The food was really good — freshly prepared, hot, delicious. I have read other reviews moaning about small portions — definitely not the case for us. We had a chef’s platter starter and a chana poori and found that to be more than enough for two. Both curries were again, fresh, tasty and hot. The mushroom rice and garlic + coriander naan were both really good. The poppadoms were freshly cooked, crisp and warm — perfect! One negative I’d point out is the toilets — they have seen better days. They’re functional but basic and could use an upgrade. Two other minor niggles — I ordered a Coke and am fairly sure I was served own-brand cola, as it didn’t taste quite like the Real Thing. The other thing was the music — it was chronically bad, but that’s just not my taste, really, rather than being a reason not to go there. Overall, as we live a 10 minute walk away, I’d say I’m delighted to find my new local Indian restaurant, though it still doesn’t quite beat Renfrew’s Heera! Will definitely return soon.

Tried this out for the first time on Saturday — excellent chicken pakora and chicken tikka to start, followed by chicken patia and karahi chicken, all absolutely excellent. The nan breads are to DIE for! So light and fluffy! Lovely food, really nice and friendly welcome and great staff. Cannot recommend this place highly enough :)

Probably the best curry house I’ve ever been in. The food is absolutely fantastic with great service. We had our xmas dinner there a few years ago. It was only £18 per head for a set menu with complimentary turkey fantastic value when you consider you can pay well in excess of £50 per head for a traditional lunch on the day. I really can’t fault it.
