Chimichanga

A usual fan of another local Mexican, I was dubious! However our mates made reservations at chimichanga, and we had a really excellent double date! Good food, slightly slow service, however excellent cocktails made up for that!

Lovely! We came here for dinner awhile ago for a celebration dinner and were so impressed. Our server was awesome – very nice and so accommodating. My daughter was just learning to eat proper food at the time yet still isn’t quite old enough for kids sized portions. The server offered to have a small dish of pasta made up for and since it was so small, we weren’t charged for it. And then she had nothing but smiles and kind words when said pasta was scattered all over the floor and table. When we ordered dessert we even got a baby-​sized scoop of ice cream that we hadn’t asked for but definitely appreciated.
I’ve found that the English haven’t quite mastered Mexican food yet, but this place is proving me wrong. Everything we had was perfect; I almost forgot I was in Hertfordshire and thought I was home again.
Great service says a lot and even if the food had been less than perfect, we’d still make the journey to come back!
