I’m quite impressed at Wah Wah Mirchi’s range of products and great prices, but it’s always busy. They’re open till late yet a queue is guaranteed no matter what time you go. I suppose this is testament to how good their value for money is! It could be better-maintained so don’t be surprised if you’re welcomed by random vegetables kicked about on the floor. The staff is made up of all men, who are generally polite and helpful. They’re always willing to assist with carrying your shopping to your car, which is a huge relief when you’re buying a big bag of onions! The prices here cannot be beaten by any of the Asian supermarkets I’ve been to before. They usually have offers on seasonal products. If you can’t find on-street parking then you can use the car park on Waverhill Road, which is only 20p for the hour!

A massive green grocer store in Handsworth and I know many of my relatives come here to buy fruit and vegetables. I will warn you that this grocer is always busy so don’t be surprised if you get squashed. I did find the front of the shop to be narrow and you did feel crammed in. However the back of Wah Wah Mirchi Supermarket is quite spacious. That would be my only complaint. Because it was raining on the day I took the photo of this place, the canopies and covers were in place which could only be a good thing. Whenever it is a warm day both the canopies and covers are not to be seen. There is so much variety and choice of fruit and vegetables to choose from. You can also find frozen food here such as: peas, Asian frozen savouries etc. It wasn’t a bad experience coming here but I don’t think I will be visiting again simply because there are closer green grocer stores. But for the locals living in Birmingham and Handsworth, this is a supermarket worth coming to.
