The Meat Shack is a lil old place where… You can BUY SOME BURGERS! *Meat Shack Baybeee… Meat shack Baby*.
Anyway, back to regular service… Meat Shack is a food stall that popped up in and around Birmingham street food events in 2013. The thing that’s really special about these guys is that they sell just one thing. Burgers. You might be lucky and get an option for a side dish, but in all honesty burgers is their game and they play it very well indeed.
These guys were the first to create a «Krispy Kreme» burger in Birmingham (I believe) and they’re always innovating and creating new and exciting recipes featuring super fresh mince, delicious buns and toppings of all different varieties. You will pay around £6 — £7 for your burger, but if you’re an aficionado of the foodstuffs, you will love it. I don’t think I’ve ever met a burger fan who hasn’t loved the Meat Shack.
They will normally only offer a small selection of burgers (which you can pick from the board showing proudly on their stand), but these change very regularly. It’s worth noting that unless you get to an event early — you will queue for these guys. I’ve known people wait for over an hour for a Meat Shack burger (which seems crazy to me, but c’est la vie). My best advice is to get to whatever event they are at and just head straight to them to buy… I’ve always been able to get my hands on a burger without much delay — but I am an earlybird!
All in all, great food and always with a smile. These guys hand make your burger in front of you, so if you don’t want something that goes on the burger (for example if you have a problem with Mayonnaise), just ask and they will leave it out for you!
