The Crane

I have just returned home for watching the England game in this pub. So, no the result wasn’t what we wanted … but this pub provided a great atmosphere.
When my Dad first suggested going here to watch the game I turned my nose up. I used to sneak in here and drink pints of cider and black when I as 15. They were good times but why would I want to go back?
However, I was persuaded and we have a great evening (despite the result.) The staff and cliental were all very friendly and welcoming. The prices for beer were pretty good too. The management had decked the whole place out with England flags. They had a large screen where most of the crowd watched the game with plenty of seating and tables.
I’m told they also serve cheap and cheerful meals.

A spacious pub that has been modernised. The function room is separated from the bar lounge by a barrier that is transparent so it’s as if the two crowds can be united. The staff are very helpful and join in any banter. It does not take long to get served and I was impressed with the atmosphere inside.
The prices are not too bad either. I watched the boxing here as they have many different TV’s inside.
