Sunflower Chinese

This is a pretty standard Chinese take away, I admit I have had better in Birmingham, but then again I have also had worst. I came in here after a day in Northfield and the thought of going home and cooking was not ideal. So I thought a Chinese take away would be a good idea! I ordered a chicken Chow Mein with mushroom fried rice and some Dim Sum. The guy that served me was friendly, if not a little quiet, but that did not bother me. I did not have to wait too long, which was surprising as I think I was probably the first customer of the evening, but that was no problem as I was hungry and eager to get home. I did think it was a little over-​priced. When I got home the food was alright, a bit too greasy for my liking and I could not help but think that the food was not fresh. However, it was tasty and it satisfied my hunger craving!

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Good restaurant but also does a roaring trade in take-​away: best to phone ahead! Standard Cantonese fair at a good standard– duck to start, with chicken Kung Po and egg-​fried rice for mainyum yum!
