Stick and Twist

I’ve just come back from buying gorgeous Ness bag from Stick & Twist. I’ve never come across them before but they are a regular at the Great Western Arcade monthly craft fair. They are in the pop-​up store part of the craft fair today and strictly speaking, what they sell is handmade (in Birmingham) jewellery and having been stopped in my tracks whilst walking to Six Eight Kafé for my Saturday morning writing stint. I was just debating if these were copycat Ness bags — if you’re unfamiliar Ness is a Scottish retailer that sells all things tartan — or indeed if they are the real thing when the owner beckoned me in. They are indeed Ness originals but for a few pounds less. I was just lamenting this week that I have 2 bags that are beginning to show wear and tear and I’m going to replace with one good bag that fits my netbook in and voila! £50 instead of £60 in Ness too. Happy.
