Well, it’s a Wetherspoons and it does what is says on the tin. It’s not somewhere I’d rush to but as I was in Acocks Green it was a good, cheap option for lunch. This particular Wetherspoons is always full and everyone seems to be regular. This is not to say the atmosphere is unfriendly and there are plenty of seats. Staff are friendly and efficient. Spoons always have a surprisingly good array of drinks but I went for coke on this occasion as I was driving. The menu is massive but I find it’s best to go for pub grub– breaded chicken, fish and chips etc or the baked potatoes and sandwiches. There’s lots of good offers. So, this pub does what all Wetherspoons do– it’s a solid, reasonably priced pub. Don’t expect wonders from the food but you will be able to find a good spirit, beer or cider.
