So, as the name suggests — it’s a pizza shop in the JQ. If you’re stuck in a bit of a bind and need to grab some food on the go, the opening hours are really convenient to grab a bite day and night. I’m going for a 3 star as the pizza is nice, but it’s nothing special. I treated myself to some Jalapeño stuffed crust and to be honest… it was a little disappointing. I thought it would be cheese and chili — but it was just chili’s cooked into the crust(which was a little weird). There was a lot of topping — which was spot on. The sundries were nice! The fries were fresh and their selection is pretty darn good. Plenty of different fast food available. They do have a seating space inside, but it’s not massive. It’s fine if you’re waiting for food to be cooked(they do also deliver if you would prefer), but I wouldn’t sit and eat in here. Deffo check it out if you’re having a lazy night in.

As a treat or after a night out I have placed an order with this takeaway place on numerous occasions. They have a variety of pizza toppings on offer and some reasonably priced meal deals too. They also have a breakfast menu available, however I have never tried this. They have a few tables inside so you can sit down and wait for your order to be cooked and eat when it’s done. The staff are friendly and the restaurant clean. They offer a delivery service but note if you live in a block of apartments they will call you to let you know they have arrived and then you will have to go and collect it from the delivery guy. All in all the food hits the spot!

Although I can no longer enjoy their cheap tasty pizza meal deals whenever we have mates round to the office this is the best place to take them when they are low on cash. For a few quid you get a drink, individual pizza and chips. The staff are really friendly and helpful when you have a big order to place and you’re trying desperately to make sure you have all the chips and dips covered. They used to offer Quorn as a brilliant veggie option but I guess they didn’t sell enough to warrant having any in stock. Maybe with enough asking for it it may see a return. It’s independent, extremely competitive and great quality. Now all I need to do is get them to offer a Gluten Free pizza and they’ll be for the win.

I was hungry recently. So hungry that I thought I might die but I was wearing the same pyjamas I’d had on for about a week and my skin was greying with lack of sunlight; there was no way I was going outside… not even to my old faithful, Pizza City across the road. Desperate times called for desperate measures so I hopped onto in search of nearby pizza goodness. After scanning through a few menus in search of Super Supreme and diet Rubicon(didn’t find any), I settled on Pizza Quarter. They are located near by in the Jewellery Quarter and their store front always looks nice and clean and, I know this is sad, but I quite like their logo. I ordered the minimum possible to get delivery(I think this was £9.99) and waited for my buzzer to ring. I waited and waited and eventually got a phone call from the driver claiming he had called but couldn’t get in. He eventually got to me and I asked him to bring the pizza up to my FRONTDOOR. I live in a flat. Only on the first floor. Is it so bold of me to request that a delivery person deliver to my actual door? He flat out refused and I through a mini hissy fit, stating that I wasn’t dressed and couldn’t come downstairs. He agreed to bring it up but stated that next time I’d have to go downstairs. Bugger that! The only reason I ordered from them is because I didn’t want to go downstairs. Sadly for me this was the best deep pan pizza I’d ever eaten. What a predicament.

I used to LOVE this place, because not only did they not bat an eyelid at my request for a cheeseless pizza, they also had QUORN on the menu! Recently though, the quorn has fallen by the wayside(quite likely I was the only person to ever order it?) and so now their pizzas are absolutely adequate, but nothing special for me — the meatless, cheeseless, fishless, eggless eater. What I WILL say for PQ is that their meal deals are crazy cheap(reg. pizza, reg. fries, can of drink — £4.50!) and they –do– make tasty pizzas. It’s just that if you have funny eating habits like me, you’ll be resigned to the usual mushroom, tomato, onion and pepper. Yawn.
