Pinfolds Dry Cleaners

Lets face it, not all clothes get the dry cleaning treatment so if the do they are pretty special. I have to say I had a good experience at Pinfolds this week.
I got a coat dry cleaned for £9 which I feel was a pretty good deal. I need to point out this is a serious coat, not a jacket… a full on winter coat. I like the way that this place also texts you when your item is ready for collection. I was told my coat would be ready for Friday and it was. What more can you ask for. The cleaning was good and the staff were great.
On the rare occasions that I get thing dry cleaned I will definitely be using this place again.

I have walked past this place many times (very close to New Street station), but never used it until a girl at work recommended it to me. — I got my king size duvet and four pillows cleaned for £17!
The lady in the shop was very honest and helpful. She explained that some of the pillows wouldn’t come out well with dry cleaning and suggested just a steam wash instead, which was fine.
All this they managed to within the day.
They are open until 6 pm, although I have seen them shutting up at 5, so be careful if you are heading there late!

I’d always assumed this place existed as a drycleaners for mucky Barristers, given it’s location in the heart of Birmingham’s unofficial legal district.
No doubt many of the customers come here to wash away the frustration of losing an argument, or to dust their clothes off after a particularly unpleasant dressing down from a local judge. However, there is much more to this place than cleaning up after a trial. In fact I have never been here in a dry-​cleaning capacity. I come to browse through all the wonderful knick-​knacks they sell for the home.
This is the place to come and find something that bit more unusual if you want a new piece to brighten up your living room. I’ve got my eye on this miniature chest of drawers, with a cool paint-​job, that’s been sitting in the window display for a few days now. I can’t wait for payday!

To begin with, I thought I’d try them out with some dry cleaning using one of their special offers. Everything was going find; I went to collect my cleaning and only 3 items were ready. Fair enough, they wanted to put my full length cream evening dress through the process again and they’ll call me to collect. Some days went by, then weeks before I called them. Admittedly I forgot what they were called and the name isn’t on the collection receipt. When I did call them, I was told they’d call me back. They didn’t. This carried on for a few weeks and it was 2 months and several chase up calls before I got my dress back. Luckily I didn’t need it for a special occasion.
I cannot fault their work and I’m sure this is a one-​off but there is no way I was going to give them my still un-​worn, soft leather camel button down skirt to repair now.
