Not the best chip shop that I been to but I would say it’s a very good one, price is reasonable, good meal and quite short waiting time which is what I like! I tried them twice in 6 month period and both times I wasn’t disappointed.

Have to fully agree with Sheldink above. Pete’s Pan is the best chippy I’ve come across and I doing a systematic review of them. Fish as everywhere very good, nice batter etc Chips ace, crispy on the outside, soft and moist inside this is the only place that so far I been able to find who can cook chips properly other than haute cuisine restaurants Portions I went for a small fish and cone(small) of chips which was just right for me(11.5 stone bloke). My brother went for normal(medium) chips and normal fish and thought he was about to give birth when he just about managed to stuff the last chip in. Value = quality/price, so Pete’s Pan is a definite 5⁄5 Note: they don’t now how to wrap open take aways at all. But they can wrap closed one’s fine. Parking easy on Tritiford Rd.

Pete’s Pan caught my eye when I was driving past because of its quirky name. It’s a clever way to make a chippy memorable, regardless of what the food tastes like! It tends to get very busy during the school run with students from Swanshurst School, so you’re better off avoiding the queues and going at another time. The chips are pretty good, although I’ve tasted better. They’re not as crunchy or chunky as I prefer, but then everyone has their own perception of good chips. So you may love them! The prices are reasonable and as you would expect from a chip shop. I would recommend you try their fish, which is delicious with thick, crispy batter! It’s mouth-watering to even think about! The chippy is located on a corner. The best place to park is Trittiford Road.

First of all, on name alone this place deserves a mention as very rarely have I come across an establishment as cleverly named as this one. When we come to the food side of things then I am pleased to say that the merriment continues as Pete’s Pan serves up some great quality chip shop grub. I particularly enjoy the pies here, as far as I can tell they are standard Pukka Pies but something about Pete’s Pan always draws me towards a tasty chicken and mushroom with chips. The staff are good here and they work quickly considering the fact that there is always a high volume of customers waiting to be served. There’s not an awful lot more to add as Pete’s Pan simply goes about its business in a solid and above all tasty manner.

Pete’s Pan is one of the quickest serving fish & chip shops I’ve ever come across. The portions of food are also great value for money and I’ve never been let down with the taste or price. I also find this place highly entertaining, as Pete’s number of staff seems to grow and grow each time I go in. The staff fight amongst themselves for your service and all share a role in preparing your grub, from dishing out the chips, to dishing out the fish, to pouring salt and vinegar on, to wrapping up the food to collecting your money. Surely one staff member could do all that themselves? Although I’m not complaining, as I find the whole process highly entertaining while I’m waiting for my own fish & chips to be cooked. Especially when they begin to bicker in pantomime style. I’m not sure which one is Pete though, as the staff tend to be all female…

Friendly staff, nice food and really clean. Always busy but rarely a wait as there are plenty of staff both cooking and serving. Generous portions and great tasting food.
