After a few drinks and a long walk along the canal one summers day, my boyfriend and myself headed for the Dilshad after hearing good reviews. It was quiet when we got there and the waiter made a fuss over us and helped us choose a bottle of wine as we ordered our food. It’s been a while since we’ve been and I can’t remember what exactly we ordered but I remember really enjoying the food. We had three courses and a bottle of wine if not two, then the waiter started bringing us out free shots. By the time we left we were in high spirits and couldn’t fault any part of our meal. Hopefully will get back soon as it was one of the best Indians I’ve ever had.

I used to have a takeaway deliver from here many years ago. Once I had tried the Redolence Spice in Redditch, that all changed. I visited again on the 21÷4÷12, and the same staff, and very friendly as always. Service was excellent give that the place was nearly full, and we arrived as a party of 14. I can’t fault the prices, pretty similar to other places. As this is no longer my curry place, it is so for a reason. I no longer like the meat and Sauce style of cooking. The mixed kebab was no comaprison to the one at Redolence Spice. That’s the tropuble, you do start comparing. The starter was cold, and served on a cold plate. The main was cooked fine, but just swimming in sauce. I had the Chiecken Chilli Masala. I won’t be returning out of choice. I’ll go again if organised by the group, but would make a different suggestion for the venue.
