Since when did newsagents become cute? Lloyds News is a lovely little place serving the office workers on busy Newhall Street.
Since when did newsagents do window displays? Lloyds News has a playful little symmetrical window display of Pot Noodles and paper coffee cups.
Inside, Lloyds has everything you’d expect from a city centre newsagents — papers, pop, fags and mags. However, it’s the quirky touches that make the place so good. I love the fact they have a £1.00 table in the centre of the shop, selling goody bags of sweets and chocolate. The staff are also friendly and helpful, adding to the character of the place. You’ll struggle to find another newsagents quite like this in the city centre or anywhere in greater Birmingham for that matter!
