My favourite barbers in Birmingham. There no rush to get your hair cut, they are very thorough and professional.
The feel is modern and the walls are decorated with movie scenes but they cater for all ages.
They are also cheap at £11 for an adult cut for the quality of their work.
One tip I would have is to arrive and hour to 45 minutes before closing time to ensure you will get a cut.

No nonsense, value barbers clearly aiming at teens and young men (which I reckon I just about scrape into).
The walls are covered in comics and film posters, think rocky, batman, Superbad and you get what I’m saying about demographics. They’ve got four chairs but I’ve not seen them all in use in the couple of times I’ve been there. It’s similar to ikon down by new street station but I think clocks in a little bit cheaper at £11 a cut.
I don’t think you’d get anything too fancy here and it’s not as swish as Jacks but they’re quick and friendly and I’ve been well happy with my short back and sides every time I’ve come out.

Kings Traditional Barbers is a very cool hairdressers that I’ve used on a couple of occasions now. Despite being relatively new, the place feels very established already, with obviously very experienced staff who are easy to chat with. The salon is set apart from competitors by its very cool décor, with numerous classic film posters adorning the walls (including one of my all time favourite film, Taxi Driver), and by its excellent selection of magazines to read while you wait (not that I’ve ever had to). The prices are great, with a cut setting you back just £10, or a wash, dry, and cut for £15. In addition, they do some great classic barber services such as hot towel shaves for £15, which is fairly pricey, but certainly makes for a nice once in a while treat. They also do various offers, such as any OAP cut on Monday– Thursday for just £6.50. Highly recommended.
