Kebab Land

The chicken wings are really good, and they are very tasty for Chinese. It is welcomed by Chinese students.

There’s a lot of greasy food knocking about Selly Oak. If you want greasy chicken, a heart attack inducing burger or the kind of pizza your mother always warned you about then there’s lots of options, some of which are pretty damn cheap.
However, if you are in the mood for some fast food but would like to go a little up market then Kebab Land is maybe your best bet when in Selly Oak. It serves the usual favourites but with less grease and a bit more attention to culinary excellence, plus a few health orientated options such as wraps. The pay off of this is that you have to pay a bit more and maybe wait a little longer, though this last one isn’t really much of a problem as Kebab Land is a nice clean place with a good atmosphere.
In conclusion, Kebab Land is probably the best place in Selly Oak to buy a kebab. The little extra you pay there is definitely worth it for the jump in quality.

Now and then, I just want a kebab. It doesn’t have to follow six pints and the craving comes and goes but it’s something I just have to give in to. Fortunately, Kebab Land is always on hand to sort me out. If you turn left onto Dawlish Road having left the Bristol Road, you can’t miss the bright green exterior. Compared to the silent vigil of the staff at Big John’s and Adam’s Place, the staff are always talkative and genuinely friendly. I genuinely feel that I WILL have a good night after I have received their blessing as I saunter off back home.
Prices are as competitive and as cheap as everywhere else on the strip, but Kebab Land’s advantage is the quality of its food: The majority of people I know are always put off by the idea of a kebab and feel that it may contain mystery meat or that it just «looks dirty», but Kebab Land seems to defy all these naysayers. Indeed, post-​kebab shame is a common feeling following a gorging of my own, but Kebab Land’s delicious food combined with relatively little grease removes (or at least minimises) the takeaway regret entirely.
Compared to other eateries, where chips can be a bit hit and miss, Kebab Land’s fries are always hot and are delicious. They’re always more than happy to give you a generous serving of sauce with your meal, too. Can’t be bothered to stagger down the road? Just give them a call and get a little piece of heaven delivered to your door.

This place is far more than your average chippy or fast food outlet, they take kebabs very seriously. I can honestly say that a donner kebab from this establishment is one of the best I have ever had. The staff here work quickly so waiting times are at a minimum and the results of their labour are quite simply mouth watering. They even do delivery here, meaning if you don’t fancy a trip out of the house, a delicious kebab and chips can be delivered right to your front door, what more could you want? I have eaten a lot of kebabs in my time most of them after nights out, however this is a place worth staying sober for, if not you may forget what a great tasting meal you’ve just had or worse bring it back up. If like me you are a kebab lover then don’t pass up the chance to visit kebab land.

Its cheap and just off the main road through selly oak, you couldnt ask for more from a kebab shop on the way home from a night out. Kebab burgers and the like are cheap and the service is quick even after a night in the student guild when queues are huge. The staff are friendly and its sometimes nice to wake up with a kebab box on your floor! not recommended for breakfast though.

you are wrong, i know kebab land more than 7 years now and i ve never seen any chippy clean like this or any chippy do kebabs like KEBAB LAND. i think you asked for a free kebab abd they kicked you out, lol,

Kebab Land is what I refer to as a «dirty kebab» house. That isn’t to say that I’ve ever gotten ill from the food, far from it. It’s just based upon doner and doner chicken, that’s all. The kebabs here come in pitta bread. They also have to be the tastiest doner chicken kebabs you’ll ever taste. Must be some special sauce or something, because they’re damn moreish.
The place is located on the walk home from uni into Selly Oak, or across the road from the OVT. Either is a good place to be. If you’re a normal student in Birmingham you’ll end up here at least once…
