Gerry’s has recently opened on the site of a long established Chippy. In order to compete in such a takeaway heavy area this joint needs to deliver something special. and boy it sure does. Instead of providing an extensive ‘gimmick laden’ menu Gerry’s concentrates on a traditional, well prepared menu of tried and tested British classics. Crisply battered Cod and Haddock, pies, sausages, chicken and a good range of extras-​curry sauce peas and the like.
Chips however, are Where Gerry’s really stands head and shoulders above the rest, crisp golden, dry and absolutely delicious. Not just the best in the area, but possibly the best in the whole world. I joke not, I know of people who travel 20 miles for a pack of these beauties. Next time you are passing grab a pukka steak and kidney and a regularIt may well blow your freakin’ mind!!!
