Indigo Blue

I have been getting my hair cut at this salon since my uni days and I LOVE IT. A few times I have cheated on them and gone to expensive city salons or been tempted by glamourous offers only to go back and have them fix my hair without judgement and for a tenner. This salon may not be in the nicest location but you will always get a warm welcome, a cuppa and a seriously good hair cut or colour. They will always listen to you and work with your hair type and there’s no bull sh*t or bullying into styles that won’t suit you. That doesn’t mean they won’t be happy to experiment and try fashionable or crazy stuff though! They really are the best hair dressers ever (and no they’re not paying me to say this!) and even though I have moved, I still travel to see them.

I’ve been going to this hairdressers for 10 years now… I’ll admit, when you walk down the street — you might be tempted to walk on by the little shops that are opposite the train station — but I would encourage you to check out this bijoux independant business.
All of the staff are fun, bubbly and have a story to tell (which you’ll probably hear if you’re in the chair longer than 10 minutes). The prices are incredible and I have never had a less than perfect hairdo after visiting. I have had everything from full head dye’s (black to red), to leopard print in the sides, streaks and various funky short looks as styled by Debbie.
Especially handy if you’re at the Uni, but if you’re ever down this way — give them a go. Worth a trip out of town.

This is a small but reliable hair dressers near one stop in Perry Barr. This is my usual place where I like to get my hair cut the affordable way.
The salon is small but cosy and the staff are professional and friendly. The price ranges from £7.50 and onwards and the service provided is excellent.
I would recommend this salon to the locals if you want a good haircut!
