Went for a lunchtime work outing so had a table booked for around eight people. Service was a bit haphazard throughout, but we ended up getting what we ordered and despite the numbers in our group pretty much everything arrived OK and in decent time. The food was a tad on the hotter side spice wise, but given likely local preferences probably to be expected. Overall my food was tasty enough, nothing mega tho just standard mid-range curry house, but the Lasse was pretty dull … more like a milk with sugar drink: not much yoghurt and no subtlety of flavour. Food portions are generous and I ended up leaving half of my rice and most of my starter, not really to do with taste but just volume. I may be fat but I ain’t a greedy shoveller! This would be a good place to order a few dishes to share amongst friends. We stayed until maybe 3.15 and throughout there were plenty of folks popping in and lounging, not necessarily for ‘restaurant’ service but treating it more like a coffee shop. Clearly the locals like it and so there’s a nice informal vibe about the place. The décor isn’t really my style but it’s comfy enough. I would go back more for vibe than food, prices are fine and I don’t mind a bit of haphazard if the right attitude is there. So I’d recommend overall.
