Such good memories of this place. Food is pretty affordable for Aston Uni students and a couple of steps from the dorms. Tons of beer, pool and foosball tables. Like any British pub cigarette smell all over.

Gosta Green is located in the heart of Aston Science Park and a stone throw away from Aston University, so do expect a lot of students. It has a large bar area, comfortable seating inside and outdoors as well as pool tables.
It has a very relaxed atmosphere despite the mainstream rock music playing in the background! Luckily, it wasn’t glaringly loud. The bar is as cheap as chips and the bar staff tend to give generous portions!
The outdoor seating area is great for warmer evenings. There are plenty of tables laid out in a spacious area, and give the pub a traditional feel that contrasts to their choice of music! You can watch a game whilst enjoying a pint because they have TV’s and there are arcade games to keep you entertained too.
If you have a designated driver then you could park on the other end of Holt Street but beware of parking charges and times.

Located on the edges of Aston Science Park, The Gosta Green is Aston University’s very own Scream pub. With a cavernous interior containing a multitude of comfy sofas and stools, the Gosta is always buzzing with trade. Being a student pub, the drinks prices are great, and even better if you’re lucky enough to have a student offer ‘yellow’ card. Similarly, the food menu offers a wide selection of tasty, inexpensive stodge for those who can’t be bothered to cook (ha!).
On a sunny day, the Gosta is made even better thanks to its massive beer garden, complete with swathes of benches and parasols. The service is always very prompt and the warm, friendly atmosphere is supplemented by a well-​stocked jukebox. This is a great bar if you’re in the area, offering a trouble-​free night out at exceptional value.

A student haven situated within a spit of Aston University. The place is massive and manages to be packed out on a Monday when drinks are only a pound! During the day this place is nice a quiet and great place to grab a drink or some lunch. Service can be a little slow at times.

Gosta Green is the student pub at Aston University and therefore profited from a large chunk of my student loan while I was there! They’ve recently renovated (yes it still draws me back 4 years after graduating!) but still has the same fun, relaxed atmosphere it always had. Being a student pub the prices of both the drinks and the food are good and there’s enough quiz machines, pool tables etc to keep you occupied. There is a large beer garden and it’s a great place to meet with friends or watch the big football matches.

Gosta is a good pub often filled with students. The most popular night is Monday night when it is just £1 a drink. It has recently been refurbished and now is much larger with a couple of pool tables and much more seating space. There is an area outside to drink which is great in the summer and inside there are many comfy sofas. If your looking for a busy student crowd then Monday night is perfect. I would personally stay away from the food as there are much tastier options in the pubs nearby. Don’t be surprised if you get the wrong food order it does very often happen an the burger is likely to be overcooked. Still, great little pub with a nice atmosphere and very friendly crowd.
