Fighting Fit Gym

Fighting Fit is situated in the City Centre. I couldn’t believe I had never been here before. The gym owned by Neil and also run by Charmaine is a very friendly, feel at ease gym. Fighting Fit is a white collar boxing gym where many work executives make the transition to boxers for a night’s event. Although many members go there just to train, stay fit and socialise. They sell a mix of supplements and equipment, have a weight area and also many bags, a ring and other equipment.
My initial thoughts upon entering the gym is that I would feel a little intimidated stepping into a boxing gym with little knowledge or skill. But from a training perspective and a spectacle perspective, this gym is possibly the best white collar gym in Birmingham, I have visited many of their white collar boxing shows that have took part in Oceana or Gatecrasher, and they continue to shock me. The boxers enter to flashing lights and music, with an electric atmosphere roaring through the arena, an atmosphere replicating one of a pro event.
The gym members vary in age and motive, some want an aim to get fit and have the access to some of the greatest Birmingham/​England Amateur boxers as trainers here and others come to do their own thing. Fighting Fit has close ties with some local pro boxers too such as Frankie Gavin, Nas Al Harbi and Ryan Aston, so many gym members get an up close view of these class prospects too.
