High end leisure centre with large gym, spa, racket club, bar, restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools.
Wow. This place is nice, and I mean really nice.
My boyfriend and I had a day’s trial here yesterday and we were really impressed. We were given a guided tour and then enjoyed the facilities which are extensive and modern.
We started with a work out in the large gym, many of the cardio machines had televisions on which meant we could watch the Olympic cycling while we worked out. The gym on ground level was more than extensive enough, but there is also a large free weights area upstairs with further cardio machines surrounding it. In the centre of the gym is a swimming pool and wet area with jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and baby pool. There are squash courts, tennis courts, heated outdoor pool with sun-​loungers and pool bar, a restaurant and bar and I’ve probably missed something out! Basically, this place has got the lot.
The clientele were a lot nicer than at any other gym I’ve been too and there were no leering men which is always good!
We might have been swayed by the extensive facilities, despite the distance it’s still only a 15 minute drive, but the price reflects what they have on offer and is more than 3 times what we already pay. Also, as I don’t drive it would have been too awkward for me to pop down whenever I want which is another big drawback.
