Service okay, normal fair nothing special these days. All these coffee shops look and smell the same. One small issue I can’t get a receipt!

This is pretty much my regular go-​to for Disco Coffees in the city (milky, syrupy things that barely resemble coffee).
Located near a train station and in the heart of the financial district, it can get really busy in here… particularly around 9am. Staff are friendly and as I used to go in a lot they know my order (it’s a bit unusual) and will often joke around with me. As someone who ought not to drink dairy, their soya alternatives are tasty and don’t cost extra and they also do a few sugar-​free syrups… the gingerbread one because I kept asking. So it’s nice to know that they take customer feedback on board.

Ah Costa. I’m not a big chain fan, but of the chains, Costa is neither my favourite or my most disliked. So I suppose that gets reflected in this review.
As a location, Costa have lucked out; they are right by a busy train station. I was actually in here for a meeting. The store itself is a funny layout, however it worked for a meeting, which was odd. My colleagues and I were tucked around the back, safely away from the hustle and bustle of those dashing in and out for takeaway coffee.
The service was friendly. Not the most polished, but they were busy. The coffee was not bad. I wont be beating down their door for another, but I’ll happily go there if that’s where I need to be.
My dirty secret is their festive hot chocolates. Keep your PSL; black forest hot chocolate is one of my Christmas treats.
Overall, not the top of my list, but by no means at the bottom either.

Dropped in for a coffee and bacon sandwich before work as its below my office. The layout off this store has always been terrible especially at peak times. Yesterday was no exception.
Ordered my americano with soy and it came but the cup was either overfilled ir faulty and it was leaking everywhere. My bacon roll was put in the panini press and then forgotten about for 15 mins whilst i stood there waiting.
Eventually the server said he’d forgot about it and got it out the press and offered me a cake to compensate. Said no but when i got into office (coffee all over self due to leaking cup) the roll had been pretty badly burned and i actually wondered why another roll hadnt been offered as it was blatantly substandard!
Coffee however tasted ok so will give them that but the bacon roll was £3 I’ll never get back!

Stopped here for a coffee before getting the train, so a quick in and out job. Standard Costa really, well presented and a good selection. The lady that served me made my day though, stopped to ask what I had planned for my day and genuinely took an interest. Really great service!
