One of my locals! Food is your typical pub grub; I had chicken new yorker and chips which came out as a Sizzler, my sister had pulled pork burger and her boyfriend had the Flaming Burger Challenge. Food was plentiful and service quick and painless.
Had a big projector TV showing the cricket when I went so it’s good for those that like their sport! Nice little place for smokers too, I don’t smoke I’m going from past experience of a few months ago when I was with a smoker!

Great pub with a massive menu selection. The price of the food is good when you see how much you get for your money. Beer prices are ok. Carlsberg was £2.10 a pint.
My only issue here and it seems to be a trend with other customers is just very slow service. At one stage only one bar staff was serving!

This was my regular provider of a nice refreshing beer for some time, it was a place I could not plan on a school reunion but get one as I make my way to the bar.
The Coach & Horses has changed considerably since then, its recent refurbishment was made as it seemed to have had a dip in business. The Coach has become part of the ‘Flaming grill’ with their new menu in place. This full scale attempt to shake of its gradually growing bad reputation has made an impact as it’s now nicer on the eye.
I’m not entirely sure it is attracting a completely different crowd though, the pub located in Castle Bromwich is one I would avoid during big sporting events but I don’t mind a quiet drink and food in there. I feel as though the pub has declined over the recent years and I would rather choose a different pub.
