Carters of Moseley is pretty special. A perfect British a la carte restaurant that is stylish and self assured without being stuck up. Founded by two born and bred Brummies this place is somewhere Birmingham can be proud of.
I visited here recently during the week and it had a nice buzz without being hectic. The food was excellent and both the risotto starter and venison main course were imaginative and delicious.
The owners also take on the roles of head chef and maître d’ and are successfully bringing some high class dining to south Birmingham.
The menu is tweaked and changed regularly as the ingredients are selected by what is in season and currently available. Not cheap but well worth it for a special occasion.
