Bar room bar is one of the main bars within the mailbox complex, it’s sits nicely above the canal with a lovely view looking up the canal straight. Wasn’t overly busy in there when we arrived the music wasn’t to loud just the rift volume to chat away but enjoy the tunes in the background. The staff were friendly enough and served us really quickly. Prices were about the norm for bars around the city centre nowadays so no complaints from me. It’s def a place to go at the start of a big night if your going out on the weekend and at the same time like I found out last night it’s a pleasant place to have a mid week drink aswell :)

I’ve been coming to this bar for years as it offers everything I could possibly want. A great central location overlooking the canal, stylish yet sophisticated décor, delicious food, and most importantly — 241 cocktails! The best night to go is on a Thursday so you can enjoy their weekly 241 cocktail offer. This is well known throughout the city so expect groups of people to be popping in during their midweek night out. If you can get down their early, try to get yourself a table by the window. If it’s sunny, the doors will be fully open for you to enjoy. Failing that, the bar has recently gone under a refurbishment and now offers cool rounded booths which, at a push, you can fit 8 people in. Food wise, I always have the same thing! Crispy duck and hoisin pizza which is topped with lots of spring onions and absolutely delicious!

This is a cool bar which is relaxed in the day with a trendy, club vibe in the evenings. The staff are friendly and it’s a well decorated place with comfortable and intimate booth seating. This is part of a small chain(Pizza Kitchen and Bar) but I thought I’d mention it as It’s one of the few places I’d recommend at the Mailbox. They do 241 pizzas every Tuesday(12″) and 241 cocktails on Thurs. The pizzas are stonebaked with a thinnish crust; similar to pizza express I guess but not quite as good, although I do enjoy them. Definitely worth popping down for some decent food deals, either at weekday lunchtimes or Tuesdays, all day and maybe head down on a Thurs after work for cocktails, live music and DJs.
