One of my favourite shops as a kid being dragged to Birkenhead to walk around TJ’s Hughes and The Pyramids! But occasionally we would pop in Thornton’s first which was always a pleasantry! I’ve always had a huge sweet tooth, and Thornton’s chocolates are simply luxurious!
This place sells a range of pre boxed chocolate selections, including beautiful rum truffles, a variety of fruit creams, some Belgian recipes and some fantastic white and dark chocolate selections! Thornton’s are a big national brand in the confectionary game and their chocolate is always a winner if you’re not sure what to buy someone for their birthday or as a stocking filler! This place is quite small but stocks all that you could possibly need if you love chocolate!

I love this Thorntons. I’ve purchased many a box of chocolates from here, as well as toffees, fudge, fruit jellies. oh the stuff of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory dreams.
But what makes this Thorntons truly incredible is the icing service. For countless birthdays I have had bears and monkeys iced with personal messages, and each time they have gone down an absolute storm. Who can resist an edible, iced animal?
On a hot day my favourite thing to do is pick up a milk button flavoured ice cream from this enticing branch. Service is always incredibly efficient and prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the product you receive.

Lovely Thorntons in a great location! All the favourites of the master chocolatier in here, I guarantee you won’t be able to walk out empty handed! From single chocolate bars and lollipops to hampers, personalised gifts and gift wrapping available, you are sure to impress if you’re giving a gift. They push the boat out for every occasion (Valentines day and Easter being their fave’s) meaning a vast array of delights await you in their chocolate scented store! This particular one in Birkenhead offers a Thorntons Ice Cream Parlour with favours you will find hard to resist!
