‘From the field to the fork’ The latest addition to Claremont Farm’s inspiring, independent business is a lovely cookery school called the Claremont Kitchen. Run by award-winning chefs and producers from the North West, CK hosts cookery workshops, classes, tasting sessions and farm walks. Subjects range from bread and cake making to speciality classes on vegetarian and Afro-Carribean food. Groups are small to create a friendly and encouraging atmosphere and the empasis is on empowering and educating people to grow, produce and cook fresh and mouth-watering food. Personally, I think the Chef ’ n’ Farmer and Field to The Fork classes both look great but it’s the chocolate workshop that I’m saving up to attend!
