Village Chippy

I’ve been a customer at the village chippy for a number of years, but since Mr & Mrs Evans took over the shop the quality of the food has dramatically improved. I often see Mr Evans working out in the kitchen area, cutting the rot out of the potatoes, making sure the customer only gets the very best of the spud. I also would like to give special mention to the staff. They are friendly and helpful, always seem to be smiling. This is the best chippy in the area and I will not be going anywhere else.

The village chippy is a lovely little family run fish and chip take away which has been a part of Billingham for as long as I can remember and is a treasured memory from my own childhood. It is very popular with the locals and children from the school around the corner. The restaurant offers a range of food which is generally found in fish and chip shops. They have a range of fish including cod, haddock, hake and many other types. They also sell pattie, spam fritters, onion rings, sausage and other items. They sell nosh boxes which are great value for money. Usually £2 for chips a choice of spam fritters, pattie or sausage then a choice of gravy, curry sauce, mushy peas or beans, BARGAIN! The food is well priced and always taste lovely. The take away staff are very friendly!
