terrible rooms, terrible service, phone does not work, no room service despite a menu placed on the bed, no iron despite being meters from the convention centre. room smells like dissolving feces and the shower, meh terrible experience. this place is the worst.

Normally, I’m always staying at the Hilton NEC when travelling for work but as that one was a bit too pricey I decided to go for Ibis by the airport this time. The only thing I can say about Ibis is that you always know what to expect. Ibis is quite consistent in service and accommodations. The rooms are always quite simple but very clean and tidy. Best is that they have free wifi, which should be the case everywhere now but just isn’t – so thank you Ibis for being ahead of the curve there! Ibis is probably the only place where I have a restful night’s sleep – as funny as it sounds, they have the best pillows! The hotel is also either very quite or well insulated. Breakfast is wonderful! A warm Full English Breakfast is offered along with cereals, yogurts, cheeses, breads, porridge, jams. Different teas and coffees are also on hand. Anyone can find something here as there is a lot of choice. For about 100eur, and right on the airport premises this place is hard to beat!

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We booked a park and rest deal for £80 and thought we would find pretty basic accommodation. Not a bit of it. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The restaurant carried a surprising variety of options and cooked to a high standard. The Thai green curry was very good. The pasta was fresh and the service was very friendly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we have an early flight from Birmingham

Typical Ibis hotel with good value. Very well located for the airport as the terminal building is over the road. Short term and Long term parking is also very close by. If you are not driving, it is also a short(5 – 10 mins) walk from Birmingham International Railway station.
