I used to be a member here a few years ago and they do have a good selection of films. This place reminds me of the sort of local video shop you used to go to when you were younger. Small and on a side road or parade of local shops. The downside is they don’t always have many of them, so you can find it hard to get that latest release you really want to watch. The up side is they have a lot of films to choose from and you can call and reserve films so when they do come back you can get them. Plus they are cheaper than you Blockbusters. I love supporting local shops whenever I can, but to be honest we started going to Blockbusters again as it was just too frustrating not to be able to get the film you wanted to see when you wanted to see it.

Gazelle Video is in The Pantiles area of Bexleyheath, a few doors down from The Earl Haig. It is like a mini Blockbuster with the latest DVD and video games titles on offer. Price wise it is the same too. The only difference is the quantity they stock. Occasionally you might have to wait for a film to come back into stock if it is popular. The shop is small and has a real local feel to it which is a big attraction to me. If there is little difference in price and quality I would much rather put my money into the pocket of a local business than a large multi-national. Parking is available in spaces directly opposite the shop. Conveniently there are a range of take aways and a off licence on the other side of the road too so you can get everything you need for the ultimate night in in one trip out.
