Easy to find. City centre. Cute setup. The cupcakes by themselves are a dissapointment as they had a dry sponge and grainy butter cream icing. However what must be tried is the cupcake and ice cream milkshake. This was a surprising delight for the tastebuds with the creamy ice cream complementing the spongey texture of the cake blended through a thickshake.

It might appear that they haven’t invested a lot in this wee place. Good location but not very popular. Friendly staff. Responded to our deafness quite well. They have a separate counter for bubble teas Taiwan-style but I haven’t tried it. Limited choice of cupcakes there. The sofa there was quite comfortable.

My friend and I bought cupcakes from here once, and the cupcakes did look good, but the taste wasn’t. They were so airy and I got no flavour from them, sorry to say.

Meh! They are just ok cupcakes. Pricing is comparable with that around the city, but I measure a cupcake by whether I can make a better one or not, and I can compared to here unfortunately. They all look fab and amazing, but they just taste ‘ok’, a little dry. My search for a wow-sers cupcake place in Belfast continues!

the good news: they have gluten free cupcakes. the bad news: they are just ok.

With the ever growing trend in these frosted fondant treats, The Little Cupcake Café has more than enough choice to satisfy the cravings of even the greatest sweet tooth. Although there are several established cupcakeries within the province, this is Northern Ireland’s first specialist cupcake outlet. This hidden gem offers a wide selection of baked delights, with flavours ranging from rhubarb and custard to toffee apple. My personal favourites however are the marshmallow, rose cream and lavender! The café caters for all, baking a daily selection of gluten-free and vegan cupcakes. One of the café’s greatest features is its constant influx of new creations and seasonal treats. As well as cupcakes, the café also serves muffins, cookies and flapjacks, along with an array of beverages including chocolate bar flavoured milkshakes. However for those with a more savoury palette, the menu also includes sandwiches, soup and Irish stew with wheaten bread. In terms of décor, the café has a retro ambience with floral prints and kitsch decorations. The large boutique-esque windows and comfy sofas are perfect for a spot of people-watching! The glass display cases create a sense of nostalgia, as well as making the baked goodies easy to select! The café’s staff are also very friendly and polite, establishing it an ideal place to hang out. The café also makes bespoke cakes and personalised cupcakes to order for all occasions, including graduations and corporate events. At £1.70 per cupcake, some may argue that this is a little pricey, but the sensational taste and exiquisite presentation makes it a worthwhile treat.

Despite working in the Ulster Hall(about 4 doors down from this place) for months, I didn’t actually try the Little Cupcake Café until recently. The thing with cupcakes these days is that everybody does them, but not everybody does them WELL, you know? Thankfully, this place does them very well indeed. The café itself is adorable — all floral patterns and kitschy little accessories, and the cupcakes are almost perfect(I say almost only because there was a little too much jam in my strawberry one, but that’s not going to cost them a star by any means!) They have a great range of flavours, that seem to change pretty often too. I tried a Snickers one last time and it was something else. In fact, I may have to go on a cupcake run now. Brb!

The Little Cupcake is the first café of it’s kind in Belfast. Inside it is a haven for all things girly and twee. The décor is strictly pastel and bright and they’ve done a great job at making looking fresh and fabulous! Cupcake’s are baked fresh in the premises daily and there are usually about 8 flavours to choose from. Problem is, they all look so delectable you’ll have a tough job picking just one! The Little Cupcake also muffins, traybakes, freshly baked deserts. Along with a range of super services including cupcake towers, personalised, corporate cupcakes and bespoke wedding, birthday and cakes. It’s also a great place to pop in to get a croissant on your way to work in the morning. Cupcakes are £1.70 each, which is good value considering how perfect they look. Pop in and treat yourself.

I love cups, I love cake and I especially love cupcakes. I purchased a Malteaser cupcake and a snickers cupcake both for £1.79 each — they tasted divine and I was so impressed I went back and bought a lemon drizzle cup cake. This place does everything it says on the tin — gorgeous cupcakes sold individually or you can buy a tray of 6. The goodies are displayed in a glass fronted cabinet for you to droll over. I love the fact that the actual sitting space looks like what I imagine Cath Kidson’s living room to look like — its all pastel floral prints with sweet little decorative place mats and big floral sofas. A great place for those of us with a sweet tooth to slip into at lunch time and pick up a tasty treat for under £2.00

The Little Cupcake Café is a frosted heaven for those of us adults(ahem) who want that child in a sweetshop excited feeling! Its delicious! The cupcakes look amazing, bright colourful sugary treats sparkling with sprinkles and little silver balls! One word… yum! Once you walk in the sweet air hits you and its hard not to start foaming at the mouth! Then you see them, sitting waiting for you to choose one and devour it greedily and unashamedly! Pure luxury! The café itself is pastelle, girly and homely! A seat by the window on the soft leather sofas is a must and they do a lovely cuppa! They offer early morning crossaints, toast and flapjacks and the milkshakes are divine! Cupcakes range in prices and boxes are available, which are a great idea for gifts. for ourselves! lol. If you buy 1 – 5 cupcakes they are £1.70 each and 6 or more £1.50, so the more you buy the better-at least thats my reasoning! A favourite place to visit with your girlfriends, and also ur boyfriend who will secretly be pleased but wont admit it and risk losing his man card! Definately worth a visit… again. and again! Yum! They also create bespoke novelty cakes and cupcake towers(nice) and can cater for business functions and parties!

Anything that is pink and small usually gets a no from me. I like guns and explosions and loud noise… ok so I don’t really but I’m trying to get my manly reputation up and running. However, despite my best efforts, it is because of little places like this that my reputation takes a good kick out of touch. This place is pink, light, pretty, covered in fairy dust and full of sugary treats. Everything a man secretly loves… don’t we? no? just me? It is a bakery whose sole purpose is to make you go… «umm mumph umph meumph» as cupcake falls from your face and onto your lap. It is perfect for a lunch time that doesn’t feel like a sandwich day. Which I think is a good idea. Too often you walk down a street and it is choc-full of chain sandwich shops and coffee shops where everything begins to taste the same as the day before. No such luck with this place. Don’t come here and expect a burger and chips and a pint of beer because you won’t get it. It is cakes, buns, cakes and some more buns. They have a fantastic array of buns and if you want to feel manly you should avoid it. If you love some sweet, delicious treats that are making me hungry just thinking about it, then step right in and cover yourself in fairy dust.

For those with a very sweet tooth, the Little Cupcake Café, a stone’s throw from Donegall Square on Bedford Street is a trove of delights. Besides the many flavours of cup cake which the name suggests. I’m partial to the carrot and red velvet flavours but others include mocha, latte and triple chocolate, delicious brownies and other tray bakes. As everything can be taken out that can be an indulgent distraction for those who are office bound nearby and need of a short tea break. At £1.70 each the price is about what you expect, not cheap but worth the money. You can also order bespoke cakes for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations — there is a cake portfolio on the website. If you stay in the café you will find it a restful spot to hang around with pastel walls and a couple of comfortable sofas. It is a worthwhile indulgence.

The Little Cup Cake Café is a fantastic place to eat. True, no matter which cup cake you choose to eat, you will look like the campest man in history. But it doesn’t matter, these things are fantastic. The cup cakes look almost artificial, with the brightest coloured icing and really imaginative decorative patterns carefully placed on their tops. The décor is really relaxed and very cosy. The large sofa’s like to almost swallow you, once you take a seat and you know your there for a while. Each day, there is a minimum of 8 flavours of cup cakes baked and freshly prepared in store. Just when I thought there was nothing that could make Nutella taste better, it came along in cup cake form and the world has became a better place for it. A fantastic little shop offering something really quite different from what Belfast is used to.

This little shop just behind city hall is a gem. Who would have thought that something like this could be a success in Belfast? The cup cakes they make in this place look unreal. Like something from a kid’s TV show. It often seems a shame to bite into them, but it is really worth it when you do. I have no idea how they make every single cup cake taste better than the last one you have eaten, but they have somehow managed to do so. The décor of this place is really nice and relaxed. It is good to sit at the window, on one of the ultra flowery sofas, with a drink and some silly looking cup cake with sprinkles and watch the world go by. It is pretty impossible to look in any way manly in this shop, but once you try one of the mad looking cup cakes, it won’t matter.
