The Bethany

The Bethany on cregagh road Is one of a few Bethany chip shops, quite a small chip shop with a small seating area and a toilet to the back of the shop. Good sized menu with good selection, from chips to burgers to fry ups theres something for everyone. Also have meal deals on the menu. Pasties are nice but I’ve had nicer chips. I like the chicken fillet burger and the chicken strips with garlic mayo. They give decent sized portions and serve kids meals too. Friendly staff.

Got from here just the other evening and it was pretty decent. There was a different variety of dishes ordered but chicken seems to be their speciality, so I would recommend a chicken dish to anyone coming here.
The prices for a chippy I think was a bit excessive, the girl who ordered just after me was told the total price and she actually argued it could not be right but when it was broken down to her she accepted it, but it wasn’t her experience that made me write that when I was told my order was over £20 and this was for 2 adults and a child I though jezz — what did I order?
The food was fine, but in saying that there are far more superior chippy’s out there. The chips just weren’t those chippy chips you get, but were still nice.

Moved to this area just under a year ago and this was the first chippy I tried on the Cregagh Road. Reasonably priced, really nice staff, quick service.
Food itself isn’t anything exceptional, but it’s a chip shop, what you can expect. I will say this though. Get the chicken burgers. They’ll serve you a chicken burger the size of your head.
Giving it an extra point because it is definitely the best chip shop on the Cregagh Road.

Absolutely love this wee chippy! The staff are brilliant, the prices are great. not to mention it’s on my doorstep and you can sit in or takeaway!
By far the best cheesy, curry chip I’v had in a long time. and their portions are on the large side!
They do breakfasts as well, this is possibly the best thing about it!
Only problem I have with it, is that it doesn’t open till late on a Sunday :(
