Great wee bar and restaurant in the city centre, tucked away in queens arcade, I got a burger and chips in the upstairs room, the burger was tasty with a nice floury bap, the chips were crisp, pepper sauce was lovely and spicy, the food is reasonably priced, a nice place to go for a drink too, plenty of choice, staff are friendly and helpful, been here a good few times and would go again.

I really had never noticed this place until today! I must have walked past it a million times, however I’m usually so enthralled buy the great display of jewellery I’ll probably never afford across the hall in Lunn’s! I decided that I had to pop in for at least a drink as this was a new bar in the city for me to try, and I’d been dandering about all day! The bar is really nice, it has an upmarket vibe to it put it’s also really inviting and friendly too. It was full of weary shoppers and quite funnily, weary husbands/boyfriends looking a little worse for wear after being dragged around the shops having much needed alcohol! They serve food in here too which looked good and I’ll be stopping by for some the next time I’m up. The pints are good which really makes or breaks a place fr me! Glad I took my eyes off the shiny windows of Lunn’s!

I have only ever been her for lunch, and I have always really enjoyed it. They have a decent service and provided you don’t turn up in the middle of the manic lunch rush. They have some seating upstairs, which took me a while to discover. I used to look in and see it was busy and not go in, so don’t make my mistake, always go in and ask. As it is also a bar you can get a wide range of alcoholic drinks at city centre prices, so you are never going to find yourself with a bargain. I usually get the chicken fajitas in here, you get a lot of food for and it is of a fairly good standard most of the time, but the fajitas are possibly the best thing you could order on their lunch menu.

This bar is perfectly situated in Queen’s Arcade for the weary shopper to rest their tired feet after a hard day’s…you know… looking at shoes and stuff…* The restaurant upstairs tends to be busy during late night shopping, so you may have to wait for a bit for a table, but the food is lovely, there’s plenty of it and the service is faultless. Downstairs is a nice place to grab some lunch or have a few drinks before heading out(the bar closes at 11pm most nights, so don’t plan to spend your whole night there). To me, this bar has an effortless sophistication about it. It’s not trying be anything, it just serves up great food and drink with a smile, and sometimes that’s priceless. *Trust me — it’s tiring!

Queen’s bar is a great place to go for a few drinks whenever your in the centre of town. Situated in the Queens Arcade, a little hallway filled with fancy jewelry stores and boutique shops that are so devastatingly expensive that a look at the prices in the windows is enough to merit a drink at Queens Bar. The bar is dimly lit, but it suits the relaxed nature of your surroundings with the casual furniture and little hanging lamps in the booths. Despite being surrounded by some of the more pricier shops in Belfast, the Queens Bar prices are fine. The food served is very tasty and again won’t catch the purse strings to much. This bar does most of its business within the normal shopping hours in town and because everything around it is closed, it’s quite quiet after 9pm. However it only stays open until 11, but is a great place to start a night in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Every time I’m shopping in the town and I make a short cut through the Queens Arcade, I always think I would like to stop off in this bar and see what it’s like. And last week I did, and wasn’t disappointed. It’s got a cosy-bar vibe, the type of bar you want to go into on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and enjoy a dirty great big feed of grub and totally pig out… no? Just me? Well, anyway, we ordered a burger each(yes, we were in that kind of mood) and the other half seemed to enjoy the Guinness, which he is fussy about. The waitress was really nice and took the order correctly, and the food came relatively quickly considering it was a busy time to be there. The menu is quite broad and there is lots of choice, and they also offer the place for hire out for private functions, which I imagine would be great as a venue for a birthday or anniversary, as it has character and atmosphere. I will definitely pop back in the next time I’m out shopping.

Went there recently with friends, and certainly wouldn’t be rushing back. Food was acceptable, not amazing. Their wide range of Ciabatta’s turn out not to be proper sandwiches like you would expect, but just a half of one with some toppings — perhaps reflecting the credit crunch! The thing that made it stand out though(in a bad way) was the rudest waitress ever! Menus were literally thrown at us, no asking us if we wanted anything else etc., and the bill was then brought without us even asking for it(when we would have ordered coffee, but decided to go elsewhere instead). Doubt I’ll be back.

It can get really busy but staff are great, food is good and prices reasonable.
