Pizza Paradise on Belfast’s Lisburn Road is, I would guess, a finely-tuned money making machine. There is nothing in the way of comfort offered to customers bar a few stools, no effort put into how the place looks, no focus on have-a-nice-day customer service. What they do have, is a simple menu, fresh ingredients and two bloody big pizza ovens. I’ll call in after a shift behind the bar, craving pizza, and the place will be rammed full of Belfast’s finest citizens at various stages of drunkenness. Yet my order will always be taken promptly, and I’ll be on my merry way home with my swiftly-fired-out pizza within five minutes. It really is astonishing in full flow. A model of effiency and profit. Were, say, any previous reviewer to state that Dominos was nicer and cheaper, I can assure he(or she) would be entirely wrong. Though I do like Brian C’s suggestion that one should try making a pizza at home instead.

I flipping love pizza, and no matter what anyone says, there’s nothing nicer than a pizza properly made and prepared using the right type of oven and made from scratch. Pizza Paradise on the Lisburn Road does some of the nicest pizzas in Belfast. It does look like the its been through the wars(especially now as they’ve had a broke window being held up by tape for a while). Their pizza’s are very thin, just the way I like em. There is a huge variety to choose from, but if your not happy with what they’ve got to offer you can just make your own.

Pizza Paradise is a takeaway that specialises in pizzas as the name would suggest… But this is my biggest bone of contention. I think pizza takeaways are a waste of time. Paying ten quid for a pizza where you can purchase one in the shop for a third of the price, or make one yourself for half the price just does not make sense. Though the pizzas are decent enough and there is a wide selection available, not just pizzas but the prices are just way too high and simply not worth paying. If you are desperate for a pizza from a takeaway, go to Dominos because it is nicer. However, i’d recommend you make one yourself because it takeaway pizzas are simply over priced.
