The Newington Day centre is a place I’m quite fond of. Whenever my grand mum moved in with us, this place would take care of her during the day whilst everyone was at work. They would provide dinner, entertainment and make sure that their guests medical needs were met all for the tiniest of fees. It also serves a social function for the elderly in Newington and hosts a lot of trips and tours within NI. Most of the staff are volunteers, just doing a good thing for the community. A fantastic service that is really appreciated.
