McComb’s Executive Travel & Day Tours

If you are in Northern Ireland, you can’t leave without seeing Giant’s Causeway, the Irish Sea, and all the beautiful sites along the way! McComb’s tours are a great way to experience the Antrim Coast.
I booked the tour at Vagabonds Hostel for 20 pounds and paid another 10 pounds to cross Carrick-​a-​Rede rope bridge and enter the new visitors center at the causeway. Yes, it was a little pricey, but it is cheaper than renting a car and attempting the trip yourself (I never would have made it on my own, plus I would not have known what I was looking at half the time).
The tour first takes you to Carrickfergus castle, then on to cross the Carrick-​a-​Rede rope bridge, then to the Bushmills Distillery for lunch, Giant’s Causeway, and a final stop at Dunlunce Castle. Everything is STUNNING!
Our tour guide, «Wee» Allen, was so kind and informative. I had a great time listening to him talk about the beautiful landscape and rich history of the country. At each stop he would ask me how I was enjoying myself and even with a full bus of people he could remember my name.
The only thing that was awful were the other tourists on board (this is at no fault of the tour company, but it still effects your experience). I have never been trapped with such a rude group of people in my life. When I first got on the bus and tried to sit down, a girl that was part of a large group from China told me that I could not sit there because it was being saved for a friend. I then moved to another seat and she told me that I could not sit there either. Where the heck will you allow me to sit then?! Then for the whole nine hour trip, there was a large group of people from Spain that talked/​shouted the ENTIRE TIME. I didn’t know people could physically talk that much. I felt so bad for Allen. He had absolutely no control over them, and even when he was practically begging them to listen, they just talked over him. If he talked, they would just talk louder to the point where they were shouting. Then there were a few other girls that did not mention where they were from (definitely a European country) that just smack-​talked the other nationalities on the bus. As a lone traveler, I thought a tour like this would be a good place to meet other people and learn about different cultures, but I was wrong. I understand that there are language barriers and cultural differences, but I thought that respecting the others around you was cross-​cultural.
Definitely give this tour company a shot and hope that you are put on a bus full of awesome people!
