Love this place its great always get somthing nice here for my daughter
I love that there clothes r always changin unliktr sum other shops that seem to bring the same clothes out but just in diff colour
They also do lovely things for all rooms in ur house and they arnt to dear either
I always get sumthin here for my daughter i find that there’s more of a selection for younger kids

Based in the Boucher Road retail park, Matalan provides affordable fashion for all ages, shapes and sizes. This particular store is relatively big with a great range of stock for a variety of tastes.
Matalan fashion is usually promoted in magazines, with customers seeing key pieces and rushing for their nearest stores to grab them. My advice especially with store, ring before you head down to purchase that amazing jumpsuit or winter coat as they usually have been bought up as soon as they arrive in store! It’s such a pity that Matalan proves so popular. However, if you’re the customer that manages to grab the bargain, it’s a great reward!
The store is well presented with each department being easily located. As well as this, each age range and clothing choice is separated so you know exactly where an item is placed and so can go directly to get it.
The staff are friendly and on a recent trip, one girl in particular went out of her way to try and find a skirt I had seen in a recent glossy magazine. It’s that little extra effort that is really appreciated by customers and has us coming back for more!

I, yesterday afternoon, was driven almost to depair in my quest to find a couple of items. A pair of hardy black trousers (not denim), and a sturdy pair of workboots.
It turns out that Mrs M has a store card for Matalan, which she offered to lend me but I completely forgot about, and left at home. But I was told that I’d definitely get my work stuff here, and indeed my last pair of workboots had been purchased here.
Womens’ shoes and clothes of every variety disappearing off into the distance, as far as the eye can see. After spending a while trying to locate the mens’ section, I found one shelf with shoes on it: shoes for wearing with a suit, in two colours. Nothing else, apart from some nice slippers.
Shopping stresses me out anyway, but you’d expect a shop that’s the size of Belgium to have whatever you need, and moreover, to have clear directions to whatever you’re looking for.
I found a pair of trousers, incidentally. I was asked for my Matalan card, and explained that I’d forgotten it. I then had to waffle on for ages ’til they let me buy them. Very kind of them. Matalan — why in the name of anything sacred would you want to limit your potential customer base like that? Do you really have that much money?

This shop is flipping enormous. I mean, if there were to be an earth quake (very unlikely I know) that rendered the whole of South Belfast homeless, there would room for the whole family and the dog in this store.
I recently went here with my girlfriend whilst she tried to find some dark jeans to wear for a trial at a pizza place. So whilst she looked at what, to my eyes were the same pair of trousers for an hour I went for a nosey. In honestly, this place just puts me in mind of a slightly less manic TK Maxx. It’s nothing special and I don’t know why anyone would make a big deal out of it. Which is probably why it’s not rocketing in the star ratings.

I am absolutely delighted with the customer service i received at the Boucher road unit of Matalan today. My server was named Robert and I think he was the supervisor. He was very courteous helpful and very well mannered when handling my queiry. My goods were replaced with a brand new article and I left the store very satisfied and impressed by the overall customer service. I will return to this store in future and would like to thank Robert for his personal service who i believe is a real asset to matalan. Sincerely Sean Mcilmurray

Now my mum and sister swear by Matalan. For those unaware of what category this shop plumps into, it would be like an expensive Primark. The clothes are cheaper than designer shops but more expensive than cheap shops. So for me it kind of is stuck somewhere on the fence. It is not «fancy enough» to be one of those shops that you go to for «meeting the parents» dinner clothes, but it is not cheap enough for the «going on holidays so chances are the clothes will either be covered in suncream or sand or alcohol». It’s a bit of a nothing clothes shop. This store has been redesigned to give men’s clothing almost an entire floor upstairs but for me it’s just a bit of a bland store.
But my mum and my sister swear by it so maybe it’s more of a women’s store than mens.

Theis store is located off the boucher road in a retail parks that also has a Next, TKMaxx, Dorothy Perkins, HMV, Laura Ashley, Starbucks, River Island and JD Sports. The store is huge, on two floors and is a always well stocked. Staff are nice and friendly and the clothes are great value for what you get. Its a great place to pick up clavin klein underwear and pyjamas at a great price. Because its a retail park parking is free, but spaces are limited so if you go at a busy time you may have to park nearby and walk up.
