Marty Quinn’s is situated just at the beginnings of the centre of the city. The front of the shop says proudly that it was established in 1970. If it was, it certainly wasn’t in its current premises. The shop itself is very basic, with the usual cliché apparel that an old school barbers does, the photos of some minor celebrity and lots of random pictures of dudes with pretty much the same hair cut. This place does the basics, if you want your head shaved or a short back an sides for next to nothing then it’s your place. But that’s all its good for. There’s a lot of references to boxing, which is why I went. I thought the guy might have been a former pro, with a few stories but as far as I could get out of him he just appeared to really like boxing and added its symbols to a barber shop, for reasons only known to him
