What a quirky little shop. In fact, is it a shop that also sells coffees? Or a coffee shop which also sells flowers? Given that it started as a florist, I’ll go for a shop which also sells coffees. This means that is has a slightly Fawlty Towers feel as the lady who serves you a coffee and a scone may then move from the little kitchen area to the florists counter to make you up a bouquet. I think you would most likely go in here to buy flowers and the maybe have a quick coffee rather than specifically heading here for a bite to eat. Mind you, I have only bought flowers here so maybe that’s not quite fair. I nipped recently to get just a few single stems and even though I literally spent only a few pounds, I received great customer service and the same level of attention you would expect if you were ordering a large bouquet so top marks for looking after their customers. And this was when the same lady did indeed have to rush from serving tea to serving me. That’s the kind of service which makes me go back to a shop so the next time I need a bigger bunch of flowers for someone, this is where I’ll be heading.
