: I never get to come here as often as I’d wish. It’s really beautiful here — with lovely nature trails and walks, for all ages and abilities. There are ponds and streams, and beautiful flora and fauna everywhere you look — it makes me guilty that I’m such a city girl and this place is right on my doorstep. It’s got disabled access too, and I’ve come here with friends who have a disabled daughter and the visitors centre and the paths were accessible for her, she really enjoyed it. There is also a golf course, which I wouldn’t let my poor husband go to — we didn’t have time! When I’ve been there in the past I’ve also seen school groups of all ages enjoying the park, with a guided tour — I was very tempted to join them! The visitors centre has a café and a gifts shop as well as an exhibitions about the history and nature of the park which is really well laid out and very informative. If you want to see a different side of Belfast, Colin Glen is a place you should see.
