Great spot, I was initially concerned it would be a Hipster paradise but was pleasantly surprised, mind boggling selection of beer, most of which will blow your head off, my only regret is that it’s not closer to my house and after a feed of lovely ales and porters, the next morning is a complete write off.

Really disappointed with this place after hearing so many great things. Call me a philistine, but there’s a reason the likes of Coors, Bud & Guinness are the most popular beers & stout in the world. We ordered the tasting board — 10 «micro brewery» beers. They were all rotten! You know that smell of damp, when you’ve left your washing in the machine too long? Well, all the beers tasted like damp clothes smell. I like the concept and the set up mind you, the long benches running down the middle is cool as it promotes interaction with others and the board games is a cool idea but the bottom line is I came in for a drink and the drinks taste like ass. Hardly surprising considering it’s all about beer, this place is a complete sausage fest. My girlfriend was only 1 of 2 girls in the place. It could be that my palette isn’t refined enough to appreciate their drinks but having been drinking beers, ales and stouts all over the world for 15 years; I’d consider myself open to new tastes. I could be wrong as, for a Friday night it seemed moderately busy, but I couldn’t help wonder if all anyone was actually enjoying their craft beers or were simply there because it’s an apparently cool place. For me, it’s all style over substance.

This is a cracking bar and a cracking concept, a bar that exclusively sells only beers, although I’m not a major beer drinker and a bit of a philistine I really enjoyed it. We started off with a tasting board, a variety of their current beers on tap. You’re given a numbered board and you work your way through them. Some I like and some I totally disliked! But that’s the point they only wee quarter pints and you work your way through until you find some you like. Which we did, I settled on one called Bran & sceolan, strong and bitter! I also tried a couple of their beer cocktails, strange you didn’t even feel like you were drinking beer, I think there was rum and strawberry liqueur in it, it got a bit hazy at that point! Busy bar and a nice older crowd, I would happily while away the evening chatting with friends in here.

I really want to give it 4 or 5, the staff are great, really know their stuff, I mean really really know their beers. I just always seem to hit it when the tap selection doesn’t suit me. It’s a lovely bar, it’s about beer! And that’s something I love. Now if I hadn’t had to excuse myself past the 3 doormen talking n blocking the outside entrance with their backs turned, I’d probably give it another star

Love this place. The beers are really interesting, the cheeseboard is amazing and the staff and general atmosphere are lovely…

Previous reviews have said it all, Brewbot is great new bar, heaven for beer lovers and definitely an experience for even us, who are not so keen on beer. The choice is just incredible and staff really knows what they are doing. Only opened recently, but since they really listen to their customers needs and wants, they dont stop improving themselves, introducing new and new items on their menu, like beer coctails, coffee and nibbles — and that’s the key to success and popularity.

Calling all beer fans! Brewbot is your new go to pub in Belfast! So what is Brewbot and how does it all work? I was a little confused initially as to what actually went on in Brewbot, as soon as someone adds ‘bot’ to a word I immediately think of R2D2, Johnny 5 or Craig Charles getting overly animated(not many people will get that one?!), so when I heard the name Brewbot I was thinking of something similar but it’s not at all techy or clunky. It’s basically an awesome craft beer pub with a wee wooden brewing box at the back keeping a watchful eye over the place, almost like the guardian of beer. The bot at the back of the pub does have a purpose, it takes the stress out of brewing beer and gives ordinary people, like you and me, the chance to brew their own beer — all controlled by a handy app. Sounds cool right, well if you’re interested I suggest you call in and speak to the capable staff who will talk you through it all in more detail. Ok, a little bit more about the pub itself. Set at the top of the Ormeau Road this location has been a little bit cursed over the years but I feel that a quirky new bar like this will attract the punters regardless of it’s location. The easiest way to describe the décor is ‘metallic’ with a wooden edge. You’ll know what I mean when you see it. It’s quite a spacious pub, with one long board room/banquet style table in the middle and loads of extra s

I read about Brewbot online before going and was quite intrigued by the idea of brewing my own beer and controlling it all through an app. To my disappointment you do not get to brew your own beer and the only way you can do that is by buying a Brewbot machine for… wait for it…£2000! It turns out that Brewbot is just a bar that specialise in craft beers. I’m a fan of beer as much as the next guy but the idea of sitting and drink 8−10% beers that honestly don’t taste that great was not for me. Although Brewbot is a nice spot and the bar staff know all the beers inside out it just wasn’t for me. Currently they don’t offer food so maybe I will give it another go when they get this going.
