Bracken Equestrian

This saddlery is not far off the Purdysburn Road and so fairly handy to town, although it’s down some of the winding country lanes that can surprise you so close to Belfast, and it’s not that well marked so get good directions before you set out.
It has all the usual equestrian gear for humans and horses — there is also a partially enclosed section at the back full of tubs of things to feed horses which I didn’t explore given that I don’t actually own horse so that might have been a bit weird.
The guy who works here is very skilled — my husband went here on his own to buy me a hat and gloves, telling the man that I had a ‘head like a pea and hands like a man’ to guide him for size. Based on this description, he selected exactly the right hat size and only one size too big for the gloves. This was rather alarming for me, but quite impressive for him.
Friendly place, with a good range of equipment for its size.
