Belfast Central Library

For fun I’m just going to concentrate on the music library in this building as I think it’s one of the best music resources around. Situated on the 2^nd floor of Belfast’s Central Library (which is covered in scaffolding/​netting due to building work so don’t walk past it) there is a comprehensive selection of cds, dvd’s, books and sheet music/​tutorials.
The music dvd selection is brilliant, you can get anything from Black Flag to Barry Manilow and there’s more quality music in the cd section than you could work through in a lifetime.
The books range from authorised autobiographies to more academic studies on music with a wide range of self instruction manuals and
Opera, classical, jazz and world music are well served as well as pop, rock and electronic music. There are a couple of reading tables plus they normally play music which is cool for a library. The room itself has an ornate skylight and there are a couple of reading tables so for a fan of music in any shape this is a lovely place to spend some time.
Pros: Huge selection and damn cheap.
